Stone Flooring
A natural stone floor often begins with large pieces of stone that are mined from the earth and transported to factories where they are cut into thin slabs. The slabs are then cut into individual tiles. Veining, crystallization and even fossils may appear in some, but not all of the tiles. This type of variation is inherent with natural stone and only adds to the elegance and charm.
There are many types of stone used for flooring. In our experience, limestone, travertine and sandstone are the most interesting and enduring. Flooring tiles can be polished, honed, flamed or matte finished and can be cut in almost any size you desire.
Shown here are images in French limestone types such as St Marc Dore, Corton Beige, and Poiseul Beige to name a few. French limestone is one of the most requested natural stone flooring types. These are but a few of the hundreds of colors available in French limestone. We also have suppliers for flooring produced in Texas limestone and Oklahoma sandstone, plus others. Give us a call to discuss your specifications, we’ll be happy to provide as many options as you require.
